walking along the path…
walking along the path
where pink trees look like
marshmallows
and cotton candy
turning the corner
a bright light beckons
and I comply
following alongside green bushes
the road is clear
life brings it on
you have to walk to get anywhere
to reach the end of the road
to open the barn door
to pet your horse out by the brook
walking with your two feet on the ground
head in the clouds
watching
listening
always moving
i want to pour my heart…
i want to pour my heart out
but the words get muffled
jumbled in a grin
only certain animals could muster
it isn’t the reign or the life of an orchid
that reminds me of how it was
the words just stop and the heart pains
and no pill could snatch that hurt away
